Are all the creations shown 'one-of'?Back to top
A great deal of my pieces are 'one-of' pieces, but I may repeat a design from time to time. The item I have on my website is the actual piece you are buying.
What are the shipping costs?Back to top
Australian customers pay AU$4.00 and all international customers pay US$7.00 regardless of country.
Can I combine more than one item for the same shipping cost?Back to top
Yes! My shipping costs are a flat rate. For example: A customer from United States orders 5 pieces of jewellery, the shipping charge will still be US$7.00, I pay the extra shipping cost.
How long does shipping take?Back to top
This varies on how kind the postal service treats us. In Australia the service is quite predictable and depending on where you are located, usually 3 days would be the longest to the farthest destination. Overseas parcels generally take between 1 to 2 working weeks.
Are the parcels insured?Back to top
The parcels are not insured unless requested, please email for insurance rates. The parcels are sent air mail. When will my order be shipped?Back to top
All items purchased from my website will be sent within the next 2 working days of receiving payment. If it is a custom order, your pieces will be created and sent within two weeks, any change to this and I will let you know. I will always confirm via email when the items have been sent.
Do you have this particular piece available in other colours?Back to top
By all means do send me an email if you see something you like but it is not in the colour combination you were hoping for. If I am able to fulfil your request I will definitely do so.
What are lampwork beads?Back to top
Lampwork beads are made by melting glass strips or rods on an open flame produced by the use of gas and oxygen to fuel a burner. A stainless steel rod is used as a 'mandrel', the glass is wrapped around the mandrel to form the hole through the bead. The glass is shaped by using various tools and design can be added by many methods. The most popular being stringers which are long very thin strips pulled using tweezers from a blob of molten glass, this is then placed on th beads in many different techniques. Frit is also used widely, this is glass broken and ground into different sizes of glass 'crumbs'. See my bead tutorial for the visual of the process. Can you adjust the length of the pieces?Back to top
As many of the pieces involve soldering and weaving, once the piece is complete in most cases the length cannot be adjusted without making the piece again. I do try and add an extender chain to the sterling silver pieces. The woven pieces cannot be adjusted.
Do you offer layby/layaway as a payment option?Back to top
If you would like the option to layby/layaway a piece, please email me with your request and I will send you the relevant information.
